When to tip, when not to tip and how much is considered appropriate when travelling around the world

Did you know, 10 years ago tipping in China was illegal? Or did you know that tipping in Iceland is considered an insult? To avoid any tipping embarrassments, it is worth checking out the current tipping procedures in some of the most popular tourist destinations to ensure that you do not have an angry waiter chasing you from your table:
